What's next
No dates, and no promises we can't keep. This is what is in progress, what is planned, and what comes later.
It changes as early users shape it. Items can move, change or drop off. When something ships, it moves to the changelog.

A signed release build
The 0.3.0 download is a signed release build. Its signing certificate stays the same from version to version, so you can check who signed a file.
Now · in progress
Hindi and Telugu replies
Replies in the language you speak. Proto's Hindi and Telugu voices are installed and confirmed on our test phone. Recognising and replying still need testing, so we won't say they work until they do.
Early testing on more phones
Everything so far was tested on one phone, a Poco F4 with Android 14 and HyperOS. Early testers on other phones will show us what breaks.
Next · planned
Gmail API
Reading email through Gmail's own interface instead of notification previews. Today Pocketsay sees subjects and previews from notifications, not full emails. A change like this needs your explicit permission, and we would update the Privacy and security page and the privacy policy before it ships.
Later · planned
A Play-safe edition
A lighter edition built to fit Google Play's rules for apps that use accessibility and SMS. Which abilities change isn't decided.
More wake names
"Hey Proto" is the only wake name today. We plan to add more.
What won't change
- Pocketsay asks before it acts.
- Its safeguards are designed to stop before purchase or payment actions and avoid passwords, PINs, one-time codes and card details. Phone tasks are beta; review each step.
- You choose which chats are saved, and you can delete everything in one tap.
- The limits stay published.
