Terms of use

The rules for using this website and the early-testing app, in plain words.

Draft · needs legal review before launch Last updated 1 October 2026

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing or using Pocketsay, or by using this website, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

2. Who we are

Pocketsay is built and run by Bhanu Avadutha ("we", "us"). You can reach us at avaduthabhanuprakash1@gmail.com.

3. Early-testing software

Pocketsay version 0.3.0 is early software. It may have bugs, change, or stop working. Features marked beta or in progress may not work as described. Don't rely on it for anything urgent or safety-critical, and keep your own copies of anything important.

4. Who may use it

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract. Pocketsay needs Android 10 or newer on an arm64 phone. We don't promise it will work on any particular phone.

5. Installing the app file

Pocketsay is distributed as an app file from pocketflow.bhanuavadutha.in. Please download it only from there, and check its checksum. You are responsible for your phone, including allowing installs from unknown sources. You can switch that setting off again after installing.

6. Permissions

Pocketsay needs permissions to work, including notification access and Phone control (Android's accessibility service). You choose whether to grant them, and you can withdraw them in Android's settings. We use Phone control only for the purposes described on the Privacy and security page.

7. Your messages and what you send

You are responsible for choosing which chats are saved and for every message you approve and send. Pocketsay drafts a message and reads it back, but you decide. Check each draft. The chats you switch on include other people's words: handle them lawfully and with care.

8. Model providers and API keys

You need your own API key from Groq or Google Gemini. Your use of those services is under their terms, and their costs and limits are yours. Their terms also govern what they do with what you send, and those terms can differ between free and paid plans. Keep your key private. We are not responsible for what a provider does with data sent through your key.

9. Phone tasks (beta)

Phone tasks can make mistakes. They are built to stop before Buy, Pay, Place order and Checkout, but you must watch what happens on the screen, and you remain responsible for any purchase, payment or action. Don't use phone tasks for banking or payments, or for anything where a mistake would cause serious harm.

10. Other apps and their rules

Pocketsay works alongside WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS apps, Gmail and others. You must follow their terms. Some services restrict automated behaviour, and your account with them could be limited or suspended. We can't promise how they will treat you. WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail, Flipkart, Groq and Google Gemini are trademarks of their owners. Pocketsay is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

11. Acceptable use

Don't use Pocketsay to break the law; to harass, spam or deceive anyone; to read or send messages you aren't entitled to; to interfere with other services; or to get around security. Don't copy, redistribute or reverse-engineer the app file except as the law allows. Don't use Pocketsay while driving or riding.

12. Our rights in Pocketsay

We own Pocketsay and its name, logo and content. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your own Android phone during early testing. The names and logos of other companies belong to them.

13. Feedback

If you send us ideas or bug reports, we may use them to improve Pocketsay without payment. If you report a security problem and would like to be credited, we will credit you.

14. No warranty

The app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that Pocketsay will be error-free, uninterrupted or secure, that it will catch every message, or that it will work on your phone.

15. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, missed messages, messages sent in error, charges made by providers, or action other services take against your accounts. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pocketsay, which for the free early-testing version is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

16. Changes and ending

We may update the app, the website or these terms. The date at the top shows the latest update, and using Pocketsay after a change means you accept it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling. We may end or restrict your access to early testing, for example if you break these terms.

17. Governing law

Indian law governs these terms, and the courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law. We'd rather settle things by talking first: write to avaduthabhanuprakash1@gmail.com.
