A small product tour

Try a small moment.

Working in the app

Hear what matters.

Selected notifications, read aloud. Questions use your chosen model provider.

What the real app needs

Selected notifications become encrypted memory on your phone. Questions and saved context go to your chosen model provider; a broad question can include recent saved items.

Follow the data

“Hey Proto, what did I miss?”

Sample catch-up

A friend asks what time you’re coming. Ravi says he’ll call after lunch. Priya asked to move the meeting to 4.

In the app, the newest five saved items come first. This example shows three fictional messages.

Context heard. Your day continues.
Working in the app

A draft. Your decision.

Approve or leave it unsent. Your phone needs to be unlocked to send.

What the real app needs

In the app, Proto reads a draft back and waits for approval. Sending through another app needs your phone unlocked and Phone control enabled. The buttons here only demonstrate that choice.

The draft waits for your approval. No message is sent from this website.

Beta in the app

You watch. You can stop.

Beta tasks can act without approval at each step. Watch them as they run.

What the real app needs

Beta phone tasks use screen text and your model provider to choose steps. Safeguards are designed to avoid sensitive fields and stop before payment, but depend on screen labels. Watch each step; complete purchases yourself.

This is a scripted walkthrough. No app is opened and no provider is contacted.

Ask about your day

Working

Hear the newest five saved items first. Pocketsay knows selected notifications, not your full chat or email history.

Details and sample screen

Ask "What did I miss?", "What WhatsApp messages did I get?" or "What emails did I get today?" Proto answers newest first, five at a time, with who it was from and the gist. Then it asks, "Shall I go on to the older ones?"

Good to know

Pocketsay learns what Android shows it as notifications. Gmail gives subjects and previews, not full emails.

Hey Proto

Working

Wake-word detection is local and works with the screen off. Android speech recognition for your question may process audio online.

Details

A wake word detected on your phone, without a Pocketsay account. Android’s speech service handles your spoken request afterward and may process audio online. It works with the screen off, and saying it again interrupts an answer.

Good to know

Tested in English so far. We haven't measured its accuracy and won't quote a number we can't back. After a restart, open Pocketsay once so it can listen again. That is an Android 14 rule.

Say it, check it, send it

Working

Review the draft, then approve or cancel. Sending through another app needs your phone unlocked and Phone control enabled.

Details and sample screen

WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email (Gmail), the same way every time. Pocketsay finds the contact, writes the message in your voice, reads it back, and sends after you approve the draft by voice or tap Send. Say "cancel" to drop it.

Good to know

Sending needs your phone unlocked. Group chats open the app, not one person's chat.

Dashboard and Timeline

Working

Browse selected notifications by app or in one timeline. Gmail shows subjects and previews, not full emails.

Details and sample screen

One card per app, with the real app icon, the latest items and an "N today" badge. Tap a message to open that exact chat or email. The Timeline view lists everything in one stream, and tapping an item there opens it too.

Good to know

Opening an email from the dashboard works best while its notification is still there.

Activity log

Working

See questions, drafted-reply activity and phone tasks in one record, with filters for kind and app.

Details and sample screen

A record of everything Pocketsay has done: questions, messages sent, cancelled drafts and phone tasks. Filter by kind (Sent, Tasks, Questions) and by app.

Privacy controls

Working

Choose which chat text is saved, encrypted on your phone. Turning a chat off stops new saving; delete saved data separately.

Details and sample screen

Switch chats and apps on or off. Only switched-on chats are saved. Banking and payment apps start off. One-time codes and card numbers are masked before saving, and app notifications older than 30 days are cleared when the notification listener reconnects. "Delete all saved data" clears the rest in one tap.

Health page

Working

Find the permission or battery setting that needs attention. Autostart stays amber because Android cannot check it.

Details and sample screen

Checks notification access, battery and autostart, permissions, the wake word and the last capture. A Fix button sits beside anything that needs attention. Built around what Xiaomi's HyperOS does to background apps.

Good to know

Autostart always shows amber, because Android can't check it.

Phone tasks

Beta

Beta tasks can act after you start them without approval at each step. Watch every step; screen-label safeguards can miss actions. Complete purchases yourself.

Details and sample screen

Ask for something to be done inside an app: "Search iPhone 18 on Flipkart and tell me the price." Pocketsay opens the app, searches, reads the screen and tells you the answer. A Phone task card on Home shows each step and has a Stop button. Saying "Hey Proto" stops it too.

  • It is designed to stop before purchase and payment actions. You finish and pay yourself.
  • It is designed to avoid passwords, PINs, one-time codes and card details. These safeguards use screen labels and may not cover every app or layout; review beta tasks as they run.
  • Recognised banking, UPI, wallet and broker apps are blocked from tasks.
  • It stops after 25 steps.
Good to know

A started task can execute steps without asking for approval each time. Watch it as it runs. Free API plans may stop a long task at a rate limit. Screen text goes to your model provider and is not stored.

Proto is designed to stop here. Paying is yours to do.

Your model, your key

Working

Bring your own Groq or Gemini API key. Questions and saved context go to that provider; its costs, limits and data terms apply.

Details and sample screen

Choose Groq or Google Gemini in Settings, set the model, and paste your own API key. The key is stored encrypted on your phone. Cost and limits stay in your hands.

Good to know

Free plans have rate limits. An error message names the provider and model. A 429 means you've hit a rate limit. Providers also differ in what they do with what you send, especially on free plans, so read your provider's rules.

Voice and language

In progress

English is the dependable starting point. Hindi and Telugu handling is in progress; full recognition and reply quality are not claimed.

Details

Plan on English for now. Hindi and Telugu speech handling exists in the app, and both voices are installed on our test phone. Recognition and reply quality still need testing. You can choose en-IN, hi-IN or te-IN in Settings; we do not yet claim dependable multilingual replies.

Built around your say

Know where your control begins.

  • The message-draft workflow waits for your approval by voice or a tap.
  • Beta task safeguards are designed to stop before purchases and payments.
  • Sensitive-field checks depend on screen labels. Watch each beta task.
  • Recognised banking, UPI, wallet and broker apps are blocked from phone tasks.
  • Chat text is saved only for chats you switch on. You can delete saved data.
